I ran for a local advisory council on a cleanup campaign. The only leaflets I distributed were handed to people as I personally picked up trash in all the neighborhood’s empty lots.
I was defeated by a fraternity boy who used the “three-party system”. He had a party before, during, and after the election. :)
Some jurisdictions issue traffic tickets called citations as in citing the offense commited. So, maybe El Finko wasn’t trying to reward a good deed, after all.

I thought he was going to enlist the boy as a “litter bearer”.
