    He has two out of three right in my book. Professionals don’t want a clutter, just a few high quality cooking utensils. Ironing boards aren’t needed with wool and cotton fabrics that don’t wrinkle, period. But a sewing machine sure can save time. Do we continue to have a country where most of the best cooks were men, because the girls were trained in early childhood to not experiment, but only to read the recipe and do exactly what it says? Or have we learned to allow all the children to be as good as they can be at everything?

    I think the society pressures children to follow social rules where boys know about cars and sports, and girls know about housework instead of teaching them both. Yes, I agree that it also tells people to follow the recipe instead of being creative.
