I bought a “low mileage” car once, though it was about 8 years old. Never driven much. (And I have no reason to beleive the odometer was tampered with.)The problem is mid-western winters – and salted roads!!The frame was so corroded by the salt not being washed off that it about ready to break in two just behind the front wheels, as was determined when it was put on a hoist and noted the nose lowering!

In our area, the problem is deer getting in the way. They will literally walk out on the road and wait for you to hit them!
