Woman answering door:Delivery man: Are you ____________“Yes”Delivery man goes back out to truck and brings back flowers.“Why thank you, but wouldn’t you have saved time by bringing the flowers on your first trip?”“We used to do that, but it was so disappointing to show up with flowers and then find it was wrong address!”
Whenever I got flowers from my husband, I knew for sure he’d done something he shouldn’t have. He’s been my ex for years now, although I usually refer to him as my “Y”… as in “why did I do that, why, why???” :P
We did have a son together, the only good thing to come out of our marriage, but I was finally able to let go of the anger and resentment that I had harbored against him for years. And you are so very right, it was very liberating.
I too find visualization to be a very powerful tool and I use it often. I visualize a steel safe that I lock the bad memories away in and if they still try to come back, I visualize welding the door shut. Yours is a very good one and I intend to use it the next time I have to release myself from unhealthy memories. Thank you! :)
As for looking back, I try to follow Rule #9: Never look back unless you intend to go that way. :)

She should count her blessings. My husband seems to be allergic to buying flowers.
