The Secret of NIMH is a 1982 American animated fantasy adventure drama film. Eventually it is revealed that the acronym stands for National Institute of Mental Health.

I had a cat years ago that let a mouse get in the house….I put her outside and told her not to come back until she caught a mouse….about 5 minutes later, there was a muffled “Meow” at the side door…she’d caught one and had brought it to the door to show. I told her to play with it until she got tired…and watched out the door. She did exactly that until the mouse finally “passed”….then she came back into the house, curled up, and took a winter’ s nap.l

Most science fiction is indistinguishable from horror. It makes one wonder if the movie makers are scared of the world we are making..Cautionary tales would make sense, be careful..WE’RE-ALL-DOOMED tales engender feelings of hopelessness and reaction against real improvements.

That is a big mouse..There was a Rocky and Bullwinkle cartoon storyline about a army of giant mechanical mice that bothered me when I was about 6 or 7….This Wizard of Id just reminded me of it .creepy..
