Since wild horses and zebras don’t get shod, I wonder why this practice ever started? I can see the rubberized ones that were/are used by police mounted units that do their work on pavement that can be very slick, but that seems to be the only logical need. I know it has been going on forever, but if anyone has a reasoned explanation, please share…
