Was ‘naive’ ever a noun? Rita’s actually making up some abbreviations of her own, mixed in with real, known ones. The translation is: “In my opinion, it’ll be more efficient if people talk face to face in tweets.” 2nd Panel: “You bet! For me it’s way more than enough.” 3rd Panel, Jay retorts: “Note to self: I should be more like you and not answer her.”
It just gets crowded when there’s a lot of dialogue, and if the gag demands at least three panels to get everything in, there’s no way to letter larger. Some gags just plain have more talk in them. I’ll try to keep it larger every chance I get. Hopefully, the zoom feature helps.
I hate that style overall, but a few of the appreviations are mainstream enough that I use them too. 140 char-fogeddabouit! I don’t even like the limit on FB Staus!
Yes! I too appreciated the translation-never even knew they actually used > as a word! (only in formulas). My most generous son has (threatened) to get me a cell phone this year as a gift. There are things around the house I’s so much rather have or do. If I need to make a call there is always someone around if I’m not home -and I’m usually home unless in the car where I don’t want calls!
> is a word? scary. Because then I have to think if it means < or > and which was which in math. When too many abv. are used, it gets too hard to think. KISS method is sooo much better. Less chance for misdirection. .oh, and never, ever use f/u for follow up. A legit abv. just not …. well, you know…. (though p/u for pick up is quite OK)

@john & scottLove your strip, but I don’t speak tweet. Are there translations available?

Must be my age but I refuse to use Text and Twitter speak. You get complete words like it or not. Something moronic about this cut down language.

Make that: “In my HUMBLE opinion.” Yes, the H is ‘humble.’ See? I still get lost.

dbig 1oohh: Isn’t that “knave?” Are you calling him an un principled person or unaware? If you meant naive then it’s an adjective, not a noun.

Why, all of a sudden, are the dialogues in such a small font? REALLY hard to read!

Now I see why people look horrified at me; when I tell them I don’t know anything about texting or tweeting! :0)
