Really old school rotary would have a large clunky connector. My old Western Electric would be connected to a wodden box with the ringer in it. OK, so I did put a modular connector on it when I used.
The two bottom pictures are mobile phones.
It’s better than a banana duct taped to a wall.
I like Art School! Not a phone person.
Now they know what it’s like to be hanging on the line.
