Reminds me of my backpacking days… hunting knife and hand axe on belt. The rope, however, was in a compartment in the Kelty pack. Of course, after a day or so, the axe went in the pack, too. The Sierra Nevada woods weren’t exactly a jungle, and an axe handle thumping against a leg was just annoying.
