Had a GPS problem like this a couple of days ago. Turn left, then right, then right again & RIGHT AGAIN. Got to my destination after turning off the GPS. Sometimes technology is more a hinderance than a help.

You still need to watch where you’re going.

Turning on (using) the GPS shouldn’t mean turning off your mind – You still need to be aware and use your experience and (common) sense.

Give me a road map and I’ll be fine!

That’s my sister, the hindsight navigator.

Our GPS lady loves to alert us to “traffic jams”. Once on a lonely highway she urged us to avoid the traffic jam by turning right onto a dirt road that was blocked by a gate. We decided to continue on the highway, never did find the traffic jam.

“Decalculating”

I recall using a Garmin in Alaska and the voice told us to turn right many times, even though there was only ocean to the right. Glad we had better sense.

My wife could be the voice for this GPS. She has years of experience with hindsight.
