    These did exist – jeans with fake mud on them. Could use pants with pet hair already on it.

    I used to end up with pants looking like that. Very uncomfortable feeling when you have to go back to the office after lunch.

    I don’t know if you could buy them then, but back in the 70s I knew of people that would cut holes in jeans and then wash them to make them fray before they ever wore them. This mental problem is not new.
