I have an old t-shirt that says; “Anime. Drugs would be cheaper.” And at the time the shirt was new it was true. $1.00 to $2.00 per minute for a movie and similar prices for TV shows. Buying bootlegged movies at a store in Japantown and since it wasn’t subbed or dubbed adding a dollar to the cost for an English script. At least they used my favourite videotape for the movies. Get off of my lawn.

any drink at a bar is way too much… cheaper at home, and if you get a little tipsy, ya don’t gotta worry about killing someone on the road… (or yourself!)
