Don’t know where this theme is going, I just know the commercial zero sort works efficiently here in Western NY. Their recycle bins are covered so paper stays dry. I frequently see the recycle processing facility.

The Mom and Pop operateors using uncovered trucks aren’t covered and where it goes is questionable. They seem to be declining in customers. Any time rain gets on the paper, it is going in landfill.

All water bottles are deposit and usually donated to our volunteer fire companies.

What’s the difference between a conspiracy theory and reality? Usually about two weeks.

In France the average of recycled plastic is 25% and we are not very enthusiastic about recycling, could it be the US is doing something wrong?

This is the point where you just throw everything in the regular trash and let the environmentalists who like to virtue signal and cry about the planet go ahead and cry and wring their hands all they want.

Glass is infinitely recyclable, but it’s often not cost effective. … but it’s better than adding it to a landfill . >

I wonder if the cost of the land fill operations, the costs socially of producing new plastics and other expenses are being balanced with the costs of recycling. If I was in the business of producing fossil based plastics, I would sure want to show that creating new is better than reusing, Doubts? Consider the tobacco industry during their glory days.

This is the standard logic that says if one does not accomplish the absolute one should not take the first step towards improvement.

If everyone doesn’t recycle why should I bother? 1% of the rapes in the world is an improvement over 100% of the rapes in the world. Unless of course you are Trumptard.

Since few people receive a nespaper or magazines most paper is either cardboard boxes their Amazon purchase came in, paperboard from their frozen dinner, paper bags or junk mail.
