Generally don’t enjoy the philosophical babel strips but this was actually pretty good. I’ll check it out for a while. Good job Gavin.

I agree, Gavin. Your strip stays on my page.

I’ve heard the Dalai Lama always lived and dressed in the present and free, unlike other’s in the tighty whities.

I try to care well for myself ESPECIALLY for my SENSES while earning enough to get by and enjoying all the pleasures that my senses provide. The most important pleasure is having someone with whom to love and share.

Don’t be Morose, Moose. No matter what happens in my future, I can happily say that I have Lived and Loved while others can listen to the music.

Whoa, nice. Shades of “Cat’s In the Cradle” song. Rewarding to see deep words and no bloodied faces… But the ending is so sad. I’d like it to end more on an upbeat note—maybe comes home early to go camping with his boy or something… Are the words by the Dalai Lama, or just a generic guru…? … PS I really loved the one about finding work you enjoy. Keep up the good work, Gavin!

Not really said by the Dalai Lama, as best I can tell: http://en.wikiquote.org/wiki/Dalai_Lama
Look under “Misattributed.”

I like to see the thoughtful comments here (as much as the funny ones on some other strips) and I try to avoid the political ones
