One thing the newer generations have done better than us Boomers is to hold onto friendships through the years. I’m amazed at how my niece and nephews have been able to keep up with friends from their childhood and beyond. Some of this even before cheap long distance calls and social media. My mom who was one of The Greatest Generation let many of her friendships slide as the kids grew up, but after Dad died, she reconnected with many of her oldest friends. So, sometimes, it isn’t too late to reconnect.
