A human being is a part of the whole. Called by us “Universe”, a part limited in time and space. THE SOLAR SYSTEM He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings are something separated from the rest. PLANETARIUM A kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us. Restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. STATUS UPDATE! SNAP ME! FRIEND REQUEST FRIEND ME! COMMENT ABOUT ME! Here in San Diego we have an ocean side park called Sunset Cliffs. A couple of years ago there was a young person walking along the trail looking at his phone instead of the view. . . . He earned a Darwin Award.

Why is he so bent over , like Silas Marner? His face is creepy, too. We’re not dumb for falling for the illusions of perspective, just ordinary.

I get the point of the toon, but it really gets away from the point Einstein was making.
That guy on his phone could be part of a pretty wide “circle of compassion”. Thanks to the internet I have contact with people and ideas from all over the world.
But yeah, he is a dingus for walking into the globe like that.
