The night sky is gorgeous, and you don’t need to study astronomy to love it. I studied astronomy, and it just added to my joy.

This is me. I love the cosmos, and all the knowledge we have gained by studying them. I have massive respect for those who, unlike me, can do the numbers (even people like Mike Brown, who is wrong about Pluto), but for me the awesomeness of the eternal expanse is sufficient. <3

The sum of r1 and r2 is the length of the major axis (2a) in an ellipse.
Some pretty heavy science stuff there. I’d have gotten a double F on that quiz. The professor’s comment would have been “You ALMOST got your name right!”
