This is how I feel about State and Federal Government, they just do not care about those of us who VOTED them into office. I am glad to say I did NOT vote the current administration into the white house!
I am disabled, my husband is retired and we will be paying state and federal taxes until the day we die. Did you know you have to pay taxes on social security and military retirement income? Never mind paying for health care out of that. Nothing like trying to live on a FIXED income and pay taxes and health care.

I don’t have a problem paying taxes on my military retirement. I paid taxes on the actualy military paycheck I got while on active duty, why should the retirement be any different? What is nice is not having to pay state taxes on it. Thank you, Kentucky! And not having to pay taxes to anyone on my VA disability check. I don’t know about social security, not quite old enough yet. But since I’m a teacher I’ll never collect on it anyway. Turns out teachers don’t get social security when they retire. So all the money I paid into it is lost. I sure hope someone gets good use out of it.

Sorry Melody. It’s worse to have so low an income that you don’t have to pay taxes. Instead you beg for assistance.
