I find it pretty funny how some fellow males expect to be able to cook meat on a poorly controllable heat source when they’ve never even done it successfully on a stove.
Cooking is not hard, but it’s not an inate ability. It takes more practise than burning a couple burgers each summer.
Keep The Joy of Cooking handy. EVERYTHING is IN THE INDEX. Basics to gourmet, it’s ‘the Bible’ that covers it ALL and THEN,…
YOU’VE GOT TO GET COOKIN ZIG!
Practice (yum)practice(yum) practice(yum). IT’S FUN!!!
Even your mistakes will taste better than your parrot so please,.. don’t EVER barbeque him. He might not be so grumpy if you offered him some parrot food!
As many of you have heard “The cook eats their mistakes.” I have my own addition to that phrase: “The cook eats their mistakes only when those mistakes are edible.” (And yes, I have created a few inedible mistakes.)

Just the way my wife likes her burgers. No chance of bacterial infection. And no flavor or nutrition. To each his (or her) own.
