This is the end of my morning comics
I have done “No political comment day”
Tomorrow will be
“No mate joke day”
If I don’t make it past Andy Capp,
Please call the paramedics.
This joke is as old as credit cards. I can imagine Henny Youngman, Milton Berle, or George Gobel originating it, but no confirmation on the Internets. The last time I saw it in comics was in “Blondie” where J C Dithers said it about his wife Cora’s cards. But still probably true.
He’s at the bank because his iphone is in his pants pocket… wherever that is! Therefore, he has to take care of his bill in person… the old fashion way.

Good question Relevart. Why is he at the bank… I have never paid any of my credit cards that way. I pay on line and save a stamp too!
