If Ziggy had the foresight to fill his gas tank in advance of the trip, he wouldn’t have had to leave the car in an unprotected area to get gas. After all his work in walking, he gets back and finds that he still won’t be able to drive, because someone stole his tires. But if he was a member of an automobile association, he could just call for help. That’s assuming he remembered to recharge his cell phone…
