I actually used it once when someone kept calling our store after hours (calling the daytime number). After they called back for about the fourth time in ten minutes, letting the phone ring a dozen times each call, I finally got tired of it and used Calvinâs line in my best âanswering machineâ voice. Then about five minutes later, the after-hours line rang. Turned out it was the assistant managerâs kid calling to talk to him.
