I just don’t get it. If you need the seat up, put it up. If you need the seat down, put it down! She should just be grateful he lifts it at all! The comic is funny though.
I’d like to see the issue resolved more along the lines of civility. The consequences of finding the seat up, especially at night, is worse for the woman than a lowered seat is for a man. However, if one is the only woman among male users, I would feel the civil thing would probably be for the woman to get in the habit of lowering it when she used it rather than expect all the men to lower it each time.
