Took me a while to figure out that was a dog in front of him on the stairs. It looked a little like a person at first… a head, two arms, a belt around the waist, a long skirt, and one small leg poking out.
I was housesitting at a place with a big dog and a smart cat. The dog and cat would come to the foot of the upstairs bed with a tennis ball. I understood I was to throw the ball down the stairs. The dog and the cat would dash for the stairwell together. The cat would stop at the top of the stairs and wait for the dog to come scrambling back with the ball. At which time, the cat rejoined the dog to return to the bedroom. The dog would drop the ball and the cat would meow, “Ta-da!”
I thought it might have been a fluke until after I watched them do it five times in a row.
