Ok, we’re going to do this Old School. What you have in your hand there is called a Book. Say it with me, “Book”. Very good. Now I need you to get a “Pencil” and “Paper”…Are you with me so far? Good, Now write down what the book is about. The guy’s name was Ishmael, so let’s start with that.
The irony is, I am seeing the best original work from young people today. My kids don’t do twitter, and frankly, they read physical books more than most older folks. I’m throwing out many of my paper books in favor of ebooks, but they love the feel. And I am blessed that they have always shared a lot of their original ideas with me — some realistic, so fanciful and impractical, but all original and well reasoned. They tell me Twitter is not really popular among the young — re-tweeting is an old person’s game.
