When I lived in Virginia I often went to Washington DC and eventually noted there is a glob of construction machinery constantly circling on the beltway fixing things up. It takes about 10 years to make one revolution after which they just keep on going. A newspaper quoted a guy who said he had been working with that crew all his life and knew nothing else.

In DC, there should be a highway and a lowway. Of course, you know where all the traffic would be.

Born in D. C. ! Traffic has always been bad. When I was a kid I actually played on BW Parkway while it was being built.

I’d choose the “suspenderway” because the beltway has been quite busy this month supporting the “Freedom Convoy”.

Either way they hold the trousers up…mostly!

Oh great. Now everyone’s going to know about the suspenderway and that’ll get clogged up too. The DC road rule is, if you build it they will come.
