That got me dismissed from jury duty. I told the judge my story about my older brother. In the ’50s when my parents were poor and my brother broke the cannabis drug law, the court assigned a public defender. I was convinced that if we could afford a good lawyer my brother would have at least got a lighter sentence. Now I see weed shops on every corner selling that stuff that he sold.
