Teacher: Over here is where I can really use your help. I have a few hundred papers that need to be graded, sorted, and put into each child's folder. Teacher: After you're through with that, I need 350 of each letter of the alphabet cut out of green construction paper and then glue-sticked to a background that's slightly larger. Adam: Out of curiosity...do you get any other parents who volunteer? Teacher: Ohhh, a number of the moms come in a few days a week. They usually hang out in the supply room working on projects. Don't worry - you'll get to meet them...eventually. New workers aren't allowed to speak to the other volunteers at the beginning. Too distracting. Adam: I could try to make a break for it...but there are 29 students watching.
