Transcript:
Clayton: I don't want canned pumpkin for dinner. I want pizza. Katy: We had pizza last night. Adam: Oh, please can we have pizza, Katy? Laura: Adam! We don't ask the kids for permission to do things. Adam: (Quiet, Laura. You're ruining our chances for pizza.)

Is Brian Basset ok? The artwork of “Adam@home” seems to be different. Our local newspaper has , within the last week, reduced it’s page size, and I thought that was the problem, but I see the same changes in the artwork here, too.

John, guess you haven’t been around lately! Brian doesn’t do the strip anymore. Ron Harrell from “The Big Top” is doing it. Brian only does “Red & Rover” now. Google it, you’ll get the details!

Okay, I’ve given this a couple of weeks, thinking maybe it was just ‘needing to get used to it’…it’s not just the art, but the writing is really, really weak. Adam’s on life support.

Sorry, Joe, while I respect your right to have an opinion, if you prefer the theme weeks and thin, incomplete gags of the former incarnation, you’re not a very good judge of strips.
Go read from Jan 1 on and tell me Brian hasn’t made a huge upgrade in his writing. I’m loving this more than I ever did.

I agree information. I think the strips are very fresh and it didn’t take me long to get used to the new artwork.

I don’t really dig the artwork (especially the kids look strange to me and sometimes Adam too, like in panel two here) but the lack of theme weeks is soo making up for that, I really like the new and rejuvenated Adam.

If Brian Basset grew tired of this, why not deep-six it? Adam is stale, with annoying, whiney kids who never grow or develop and a wife with the depth of a puddle. Adam has never been really funny or creative and always felt forced. Story lines and theme weeks are painfully milked dry. Today’s comic left me stumped. What is funny about this?? Controlling, peevish kids are not funny and are not needed in the comics. And, please, who in the world eats canned pumpkin for dinner?? Geez Louise, put this strip out of our misery! There are plenty of new, talented artists out there who deserve a crack at this spot.

A world run by children would be very scary…

Nobody eats canned pumpkin! You joker! That was the entire point. He forgot to go shopping and was trying to spin it!
Man, you think the world is dumb and then someone comes along and makes you realize the depths are not conceivable.
And another first time poster BTW … coincidence? Go away TROLL!

One child out of the Whitehouse and another one that’s worst is in control..or so he thinks. He’s nothing but talk and no action.

The kids look the same to me, Adam looks different, but better and the strip is better, like you said information. Maybe you all should give it a chance.
