Adam: Guess what? Laura: You've got that "Clayton's parent-teacher conference look" on your face. Adam: You're good. It's on Thursday. Laura: It's your turn to go, right? Adam: No way. I went last year, remember? Laura: Oh, yeah. Adam: It still doesn't seem right for a schoolteacher to curse that much.

I absolutely hated parent/teacher conference when I was a kid. We’d get a couple days off school and I couldn’t even enjoy them because of worry about what the teacher would tell my mom about me! I remember going with her once and waiting on the playground while she went into the conference and when she came back out I asked what the teacher said. She hissed, “We’ll talk when we get home!” and I knew I’d had it!

They don’t go together?! I hated conferences too, especially when I wasn’t doing well in school. I had to go with and hear them talk about how bad I was doing and get some nasty looks from my parents. :/

This is over the top! I like his expression in the last panel.
I had one conference for one of my kids, I don’t recall which one sorry to say, but the teacher got very upset with me and my wife. That teacher only lasted one year.

I have to laugh. I had four brothers and we went to catholic school. I assure you those nuns swore at my mom and dad. I don;t know how my brothers ever got through school.

If you behave in school then you don’t have anything to worry about…
