SAD, or Seasonal Affective Disorder, is a real thing and Katy is on to something with the roses as aromatherapy is a way to treat it. Not sure about the marching band though.

Some days it’s too nice of a day to go to work, and other rainy days, I want to stay home. I think I just don’t like going to work.

My dad, a toxicologist, used to say he thought there was a latent instinct in the human organism to want to hibernate on days such as described here. This had nothing to do with SAD.
