…the poor animal is going to discover that the apparently delicious morsel of doom that lured him to death is actually made of tofu?

Wouldn’t he suffer enough?

And Katy throws the worm into the stream, where it provides a free (hookless) lunch for a passing fish!

Tofu used to be alive,too.

If she feels that way about worms, how is she going to react if they catch a fish?

Even the smallest creature values its life.

That’s what he gets for taking a girl fishing. (Sorry, ladies, lol.)

So Dr. Worm wormed his/her way into her heart. Does this mean that she has heartworm?

Tofu worms? Lots of luck in catching anything.

Worm is like: “Huh?”

Hey, any fishing people out here? Tofu worms…..is that really a thing?

And another teaching moment gone. “Katie, worms have a very rudimentary nervous system, and certainly don’t have any organized brain cells to put towards an education. They are blind, get their nutrition from dirt, and are frequently eaten by birds and small mammals. Plus, if you set it free here, a fish will eat it.”

At least he won’t have to clean any fish.

You can bait hooks w/ lots of stuff. Minnows, spiders, crawdad, beetles, etc.
