Her daily chores have consisted of making sarky comments. How’s this going to work without physical violence?

Since when does anyone “sweep” stables? Muck them out, yes. Sweep? Maybe after mucking, but only if you do a really, really thorough job of it. Otherwise, you are just spreading the manure.

I’ve never cared for this weird hand-on-the-forehead, eyes-closed, “oh my poor head” gesture that characters in this strip are always making.

Where will Edith put said cows?

The few times my parents went away before we old enough to stay home alone (with me in charge) my grandparents came to stay with us.
