When the machine thanks me for shopping I always say Thank you for doing a good job. It talks…I answer…..

Supposedly, QR codes are replacing bar codes nowadays. I can’t say that either scans for me. “Do you read me?”

Shut it down. Call a tech. Get on with your lives. Not a “singularity” moment.

“I’m sorry Mr. Miller, but your doctor says you shouldn’t be eating those chips. I cannot sell them to you. Have you even looked at healthier choices?”

Those stupid plastic bracelets you get in the hospital, have bar codes on them.

The local store that starts with a T has no actual cashier stations, if you pay with cash, the machines don’t do change and you have to wait for the lone customer service rep to wander over, look at the machine, go back to the customer service counter and get your change. And this takes forever and a day. This is efficient in what way and for whom?
