    He forgot to factor in the price of the airline ticket, the hotel, and maybe a few other things. When you take that cost into consideration, it ceases to be less expensive to buy eggs in other countries.

    Yeah, he’s not listening to the news. Bird flu caused massive culls which led to a shortage, which led to price gouging. So the only thing you can do is eat fewer eggs until the crisis is over. Unfortunately, a lot of people count on eggs for affordable protien, so this can be a real problem. (Don’t forget to abuse the retail staff, and accuse them of jacking up the price.)
