I wanted to give Agnes some advice on boys, but after devising and discarding several comments, I found I could not improve upon her assessment and advice. Make my pie coconut cream.

By the time Agnes is 11! Although her assessment of individuals will change, sometimes quite rapidly. Thank Heaven for little girls…

How? That I can answer in a single adverb: “not.”

We HAVE to be, so that girls will want to “improve” us.

At first I thought the “f” in “shiftless” was another “t”. Needless, to say, I was trying to figure out what that was supposed to mean.
