Why am I never lucky enough to find a ‘52 Tele in the trash??? Of course, I know roughly what it’s worth…

The woman singer I drum for is married to a guy who owns three recycling businesses. The other day he brought in a Ludwig Acrolite Snare drum and gave it to me. Said he found it on the curb. The drum goes for $300-$450. I picked up a used 50’s Gretsch snare for $20 at a yard sale. I spent $40 for a tiny metal part that holds the snare wires. Cheapest I have seen that drum was for $250 on e-bay.You should see some of the things the owner of the recycling business has picked up from the street. It is amazing what people throw away; for instance, a piece of artwork valued at $50,000.

Oh, I hope Agnes gets a real wad for that (and un characteristically doesn’t lose it on the way home).

Knowing Agnes, she’ll get $50,000 and exchange it for some magic beans on the way home.

I saw that the value of this guitar is between $10,000 and $50,000 depending on the condition. I hope Agnes doesn’t get cheated.

The k string was the most important part.

I have a 60s model SG. I’m still looking for the K string. I wonder if she would trade.
