The trick is to find a job that you love. I’m retired now, but I had some jobs that I hated and some jobs that I liked. I stayed longest with the jobs that I liked. I never had one that I loved.
Grannie seems to have one of those low-paying tedious blue-collar jobs. Guess she’ll be very happy when Agnes finds something herself. Don’t think Agnes will.
Kids, this is BS. I love my job. What I do is interesting and satisfying. I feel lucky to have found a job that matches my personality so well. But it’s still work. It’s not as much fun as lying on the couch eating ice cream and playing video games. What I’m trying to say is, temper your expectations.
And maybe you don’t find a job you love. You could find one you don’t mind and that pays you enough so you can do what you love on nights and weekends. That’s good too.
it seems that most workers spend most of their energy trying to figure out how to get out of doing their job, so they’re almost accomplishing the goal of that aphorism… ☺

You may love your job…

I believe you are supposed to love doing something that at least pays money.

I’m retired now. It seems like if I liked a job, it was low paid or I had terrible co-workers. If I hated a job, it paid well.
