After seeing the social media-fuelled racism and klonkieing (Apartheid-era South Africa term, look it up) I never thought I’d be appreciative of growing up in New Delhi.
(I’m not. This sort of shit happened when I was 14. I ended up getting my ass kicked, my side shanked, and my groin beaten in with a fire extinguisher, and I took to smoking that year and drinking the next year. My crime? Being intelligent and “poor” among the offspring of the filthy rich. The irony is, in college, everyone thought I was loaded.)
