Remember the hundreds of pieces of paper required to retain and keep up the premises!

I remember doing that. Fortunately, the person had all the places marked with those little sticky arrows that said ‘sign here’. There is no way you could read everything you were signing. No repercussions after six years, so I guess we did it right.

I was a Mortgage Loan Officer for many years before I retired. I went to all my signings with my clients because it’s the most stressful confusing thing people have to go through in the process of buying a home. Many 1st time home buyers are overwhelmed by the process. The signing is done at a Title Office with someone they’ve never met. I made sure all the papers were clearly marked for signatures, and spent a long time explaining the paperwork, which the Title Officer doesn’t do well in most cases.

I tried to keep count of how many times I signed my name when we bought our condo last year, and lost count somewhere around 34. There were many, many more signatures after that.

It’s “really fun.” Hope the notary and/or person from the title company have a sense of humor.
