Mine all loved the, as I call them, the hookless fishing flies. The little balls are great along with wadded up aluminium foil. But what really gets the kittehs excited is a hamster ball with a hamster inside. =^–^=
Mine don’t care for most toys you can get in a store. But they do like the dried bean husks left behind after I’ve been harvesting black beans from the garden…
I’m pretty sad! I found gocomics and Amanda the Great a couple of weeks ago, and started at the beginning with Amanda… and now I’m all caught up! Waaaaahhhhh!
We had one cat that had a favorite toy mouse. She carried it around with her. Even after she’d managed to remove all the stuffing she continued to play with the “pelt.” The other cats have all been like Ric.
Cats enjoy novelty. Put a toy away for a few months, the cat might be interested in it then. That’s how I wound up with a whole box of cat toys. Fortunately, one of my cats was self-motivated. I caught him on video, picking through the toys to find just the one he wanted.

Ric needs some catnip mice and some pads that go from the floor to the ceiling.

Get one of those balls that you fill with dry food, and pieces fall out randomly as it’s batted around.
