I never noticed it so much living in Southern California ~ stayed close to the same all year. Now, in North Idaho, a different story. It is getting dark about 4 in the ‘afternoon’. Then in summer it stays light until 9 -10 at night. But, now that I’m pretty much homebound (thank you virus) It doesn’t really matter. Still don’t like the cold and gloomy.
Winter starts at 4:02 am on Monday. Long road to hold, but I prefer winter to summer. No bugs, no thunderstorms, no excessive heat, and no clowns at circuses.
Aw, don’t let it get you down Amanda…. just start to imagine all the good things that can come of being in the dark longer with your hubby. Let the strip offer some re-runs and enjoy this quiet time you have.

Gets cold and dark early. Looks like a good reason for Dan to cuddle up to you so you can keep warm.

The Winter Solstice is this week, after which days start getting longer again. Hang in there. There’s light at the end of the year.

Shortest day of the year coming up on the 21st — hold out until after that and it only gets better!
