Rock and gravel? Wheat? While you only cut it once a year, if you don’t have a winter cover crop, the tiny combine harvester is really expensive. But hey, guys playing in the dirt. Price is no object.
Be careful what you thank him for Amanda. Soon he’ll be expecting a similar act from you. Just bring him the ice water and change the subject :-) Actually I’m sure you do lots of selfless acts of kindness for him too. Just kidding.

It’s a balancing act—let it all grow long enough to look reasonably lush, and it gets way too difficult to mow.
