This Strip ran 8 Aug 1957, which by my math makes It the 4th Andy Capp Strip, EVER. there had never been a character like Andy before, and keeping Pigeons was a big part of his identity — glad the Gumby Crew gets SUMMAT correct.

I couldn’t get away from Peanuts fast enough when I saw them all arguing and ranting. I went straight to Pearls Before Swine which is the comic I comment on after Peanuts. I’m never getting involved in those talks.

Well, dear, I have not heard from my bro, but there’s always tonight or tomorrow. I think Pearls comments are more about the witless, clueless inanity of Larry, the naivete of Pig and the insensitivity of Rat and don’t forget, the sorry puns Pastis is incapable of. He’s not even capable of being incapable without screwing that up. Yes, Pearls strikes me as a happy place. Larry is doing okay. Alley grabbed the ladder on the side of the ship after being ejected into space and climbed in through another entrance, unbeknown to Torka. The others were put out shortly after Alley. No word on their fate yet. There is Ooola, Lola, Oscar Boom, Sheldon Cooper (yes, that one) Kluco, the robot and me, Gweedin, a creature that Larry calls a tribble; a burrowing furry type animal that may or may not resemble its namesake from that ever popular sci-fi tv show.If you’re not wrinkled, you’re not pruney !I am sure The Count would love to thank you personally for your donation if you would just stop by the clinic after dark.Don’t do it !.From earlier… “I Spy” with Robert Culp and Bill Cosby was another of Mom’s faves.

I actually love Stephan’s puns because they never fail to crack me up. But we’re all different. I like the recurring one where Stephan draws himself in the last panel and Rat is standing on his desk making some kind of insult about his ‘terrible’ puns. I always like that part.

If you don’t hear from Ron tonight then hopefully it will be tomorrow. Is he always busy with things? Because that could be a reason.
