Good music can lift Spirits but Bob’s so bad He can raze the Dead.Yes i saw that Movie; in-fact my Rabbi has quoted that line! It started great but i thought spent far too-much Time in Rome.
Aye I’m just waiting for the fight to break out when Bob suggests Andy sing the song ,if he thinks he can do better than Bob. They’ll be pints and a guitar flying every which way but loose.^^You know what irks me? That a great character with a long history in the strip, like Percy Ritson (the Rent Man) has been replaced with uber-lame, “one joke” characters like Guitar Bob and the little guy with the glasses who’s afraid of his Wife.Smythe would not like how his legacy is being ruined!
@Mikey jExcellent redo (especially the little extras like the flies buzzing around). Bob has always struck me as half-American and half-zombie (with the gags living down to the combination at his every appearance). I’ve wondered from the beginning why it wasn’t “Banjo Bob”, though. I’d think they could at least get a little “Hee Haw” sensibility out of that. (Andy and the gang aren’t even British anymore, as far as you could tell from their dialogue!)
I like the song ‘Misty’ by Johnny Mathis. That song always makes me feel good even though it’s not upbeat.Still, Songs don’t always have to be upbeat to make a person feel good.xxx
Daddy’s home ! At least my talk is a little more timely now.-She even has the greatest downstairs neighbor. -I like the sound of rain too, especially if I’m not getting drenched by it and outside is cold where I might not be out in it anyway. -Sunday is good. Partly overcast but temperate. The windows for upstairs came yesterday and Joe wants to do some install today.-See ya, Monday.
I bet you’re an awesome neighbour too! Today is another really lovely day. I only enjoy the sun moderately. -How is the window install going so far? Well I hope.-Unfortunately, your ‘Let England Shake’ link is not available in the UK so I can’t view it. It’s a shame because it sounds great. -I hope your Monday is going well.
The copyright is 1989, but obviously the Art ‘says’ mid Seventies [ Reg quit smoking in 1983]. That’s deceitful,Daily Mirror Newspapers Ltd. You lie, Fawcett Books. but it’s new stuff to-mi at-least.
“Visual Pun,” eh? Honestly never heard/thought of that but it makes sense. I got the satire tho as-far-as the re-naming; that’s a ‘running gag’ Mikey has, of-which i am familiar.
Hilarious!!!!!! Whenever the Andy Capp strip is below average (which, unfortunately, seems to be quite often, these days) I can count on you to do a redo that’s funnier. Thank you for making Andy Capp funny. :D^^YW… I seriously wonder why the Mirror hasn’t replaced the writers with 2 Chimps, the strip would probably be funnier and they could pay them in bananas
Our ’Burb was constructed 1963 so . . . there’s a need for modern materials in these uninsulated Stucco/Glass Boxes. Lots of People hang ‘em from the Warehouse-type Store as-is, and that ’appliance white’ doesn’t look bad per se but it’s noticeable. Not as-bad as colour-blind People painting Their Home Tangerine [i’ve seen two] tho.

Well, Bob, your sign does say you take requests. So Andy is requesting a better guitarist.

You try to lift Andy’s spirits, Bob, and you’ll get a broken arm. Which would probably improve your playing.

@MikeyjAs always, Andy Redux is far superior to the original. Keep up the great work of really giving us a good laugh.

Mikey, maybe in a future redo, you could sign it “Maphooey, Goldspit and Cramit”?^^Sure, but, that should be “Crammit” ;)

You all might notice that I called “Goldsmith” NOSMYTHE on my redo, which is because, as a writer of cartoons, he is NO Smythe!

I am certain whatever circulation A.C. enjoys these days is based entirely on past performance^^Sadly, I have to agree
