This is from my 80’s book of 70’s Strips. The Fag [see panel 4] is familiar; the Councilor, NOT!

It took me a long time to be able to grieve for my father. I was kind of carrying everyone else through it all and really didn’t have time to absorb the impact of the loss until much later. My heart and prayers go out to our friend.

Never any character to the dialogue, never any body language in the art. (“Pogo” would always have individual body language for each character, even in a crowd scene. I know that not everybody can be Michelangelo or Walt Kelly, but still………) If it was truly “we” who couldn’t be bothered, why is Flo looking at the reader? It could well be that only Andy couldn’t be bothered, but their constant use of breaking the 4th wall as a crutch renders it questionable. In fact, today’s strip made me so apathetic I think I’ll delete this comment before submitting it. WHOOPS!

Doing my best to live up to it.Starting about 8 this morning I have been working on window stuff. Took 3 of the uninstalled window sills and sanded them and gave them a first coat. Stopped about noon for grub and to catch up here. Later I pulled the last remaining window; a horizontal slider over the kitchen sink and have a hunka cardboard over the hole. Some more prep work tomorrow.-Sorry you couldn’t get P.J. We get denied access for some of the stuff you guys put up; that seems to not want to leave The auld SodRegina Spektor, the transplanted to U.S. Russian lady, has some good stuff too. Here’s one ! -Rained last night. Got up almost 6, still dark, and noticed it not raining. Cool and wet with some wind. Sun came up, windier. It quit later on. Happy two fer Tuesday ! -I had to include THIS ONE too !_______________________________________Thank you so much for those two links. Thankfully they were accessible this time. I think I liked ‘Consequence of Sound’ better than ‘Long Brown Hair’ but she has a beautiful voice nevertheless. -There has been typical English fog here today but no rain.-You do sound busy. It’ll be worth it in the end.-Do you mind if I send you a song? Sorry if you have heard it a gazillion times before. I love this one.Diana-I hope you are well and Happy Tuesday to you.

As requested by the neighborhood watch commander of Wrigley Field, Chicago, I am warning everyone that there are a bunch of 60 and 70 year old women gathering in Chicago this weekend. They are not here to indulge your fantasies of sedate older ladies, they are coming here to show you that Minnesota ladies are hot, bawdy and ready for a good time….Lord, please, please help me contain this group of bawdy women and keep the streets of Chicago safe! Amen…

First and foremost, allow me to express my heartfelt sympathy for 6 and his family. This November it’ll be 14 years since I buried my Dad. A month later we buried my step-mother. My second mom. Grief can be so hard to handle as we try to live past the loss. Anything we can do, just say so 6. Though we are far and wide, our prayers are gathering right there in Scotland with thee and thine. God bless, 6.

I apologize for being away for a few days. We had a busy weekend. We watched the entire first season of “Game of Thrones”. I’m hooked now. Plus, we watched several other movies. Also, I got a “Library Card”. I am now reading real books again. Y’all remember them don’t you?

I’m happy Gweedo is safe and back. Linda, I borrowed your Corners quote. Already, Facebook is buzzing away.

as a former teacher – I gotta tell you, I miss going back…miss buying extra crayons, pencils, huge reams of 3 hole punch note paper…pens, colored dividers…and the looks on kids faces…excited, bored (until I taught that one to read, then he brightened up and became class leader) some were happy to be back, one too sad due to wanting to be out in 70 degree weather kicking a soccer ball as its never been kicked before (Lord, help me, but I cant help feeling for that one kid!)…I loved the kids, the new classes, the experience of helping mold them…all of it…I miss school and my kids!my poor grandson, I will have him reading and spelling before he is 4!

Sharing’s been the plan aal-along, newly-retangiblized One. . . . as great and histrionic as the seminal Years are/were; now Smythe’s working in his well-established Universe, and the Art and Humor are at a Zenith! I’ve already earmarked One Book by Theme. I imagine They’ll be new to aal save some Elephant-memoried Boomers.
