More than one old Andy episode involved him using his charm to get more money or to get out of trouble or whatnot. The problem with today’s is that the focus is on the unnamed money lender. Try a quick little thought experiment (trolls, you don’t have to do this, not being capable of thought!) What if Andy were not even pictured in the final panel, with the money lender looking into the distance towards Andy? The strip would be as exactly funny as it currently is. Which is just sad…….
Nada, mi amigo.Noooo ! I am not dreaming of a white Christmas. I don’t like cold weather and am not particularly enamored with snow, since I no longer ski. For more than 40 years, I’ve made a point of keeping my home base in a warm clime. Twenty plus were spent in Sedona, Arizona which is at about 4,600 ft. elev. and has four “mild” seasons. That was, climate-wise, about the most ideal place I have lived in.Sarasota, Florida was very similar to where I live now, in Ecuador – except it is not quite as humid , here.
Our posts happened at the same time!.I know “Sally Can’t Dance”….. but what else can she do? It’s gone 10 pm here, so I’ll be in bed soon. You’re OK, I won’t be dreaming of you.
Personally I have helped acquaintances (friends, fellow workers, etc.) with small loans (NO interest) with amounts that would not hurt me (I always saved a little so as to not be working paycheck to paycheck) so that if I totally lost it I could rack it up to experience, BUT I would not forget and continue to loan to those persons. …..I once set up a repayment plan with one guy for small payments every payday so he could buy a bed for his new apartment. It was written down and than we each initialed each repayment.
