@ Number Six and Cappers past and present Today’s strip is mildly funny Our Hero Mr Andrew Capp , sober again , does not give a hoot about astronomy all Andy cares about is how long it takes to get to the Sun , but is it a pub or the newspaper to ogle page 3 ? :o) My avatar is of our cat Bella’s dad , mum Muffin and auntie Puffin that used to hang around our back garden and the tom cat knocked both queens up and they both had litters at our house , how was your day pals ? ours should be busy but calm I hope like all our Manic Mondays usually are. Let’s see there’s “The Sun” , the “Blue Moon”, and the “Venus Men’s Club”, so Andy can really be an ass-tro-not, soaring high in Hartlepool and splashing down in the canal.
Hey, Affie. Sorry for not commenting. Been suffering with a terrible cold. Feel much better now but stuck with a cough.
Do you remember the AncestryDNA test I took back in 2017? Well my results updated today and I’m over the moon with them. I didn’t care much for the 2018 update.
My results are now:
England, Wales & Northwestern Europe – 59%
Ireland & Scotland – 22%
Germanic Europe – 7%
Middle East – 6%
France – 4%
Ethiopia & Eritrea – 1%
Somalia – 1%
The smallest percentages are always the interesting ones.
Since “The Sun” is in quotes, I don’t think Andy is referring to the sun in the sky, but a location in Hartlepool. Light from the sun takes about 8 minutes to reach Earth, not 9 (which I doubt Andy would know anyway) so I don’t think he is referring to that. And since Andy knows the location of every pub in the town and knows “The Sun” is only 10 minutes away, it must be a pub.

How long does it take Andy (while not intoxicated nor falling into a canal) to get home?

I should research the beginning of this strip to see if it explains what the heck made Flo think Andy was worthy.

Is the SUN a regular pub of Andy in Hartlepool?

How far to the Seven Stars?

Actually, he’s not that far off — IF we were talking about traveling at the speed of light. The actual sun is only eight minutes away at that speed.

I don’t think Mars is actually in the night sky right now (although I could be wrong – it’s been cloudy lately)

I don’t think Andy would want to go to Mars. As far as I know, there’s no booze there.
