@Number Three Today’s strip IS funny , poor Flo can never gets a compliment on her cooking from our Hero Mr Andrew Capp , he does not like salads he’d rather have fish and chips from a chippy than Flo’s unburnt offering :o) My avatar is a picture of Rowan Atkinson as Mr Bean wishing everyone a happy day, being yours and mine fav Brit I’ll try to comply How was your Manic Monday and today? our day should be very busy but we will cope I hope and I’m doing all the errands till Connie gets better I have every scetch or movie that he made , have you seen “Keeping mum” in which Rowan is a vicar and his mother in law is a serial killer, she even kills Patrick Swayze for seducing her daughter , stay safe and BCNU pal
It’s not a salad unless it has thin sliced deli ham, turkey, roast beef, onions, hard boiled eggs, and cheese on it. Cucumbers. olives, and tomatoes optional.
I can cook and I’m very comfortable in the kitchen. My mom taught me to cook, clean, sew, darn socks, balance a bank account and purchase a home. All at the age of 14. She looked at me and said, “There is not a woman alive who will put up with your bull**** so you best learn to take care of yourself.” I lived on my own foot loose and fancy free until I was 39 and met the woman I have been with for 29 years. Too many young men marry the first woman who comes along and treats him like his mommy did. THAT is why there are so many divorces.
I love salads but am not fond of iceberg lettuce and hate kale … so needless to say, those don’t show up in my salads. Other types of lettuce, cabbage, and (my favorite) spinach do make frequent appearances on my table. But salads do not need greens to be tasty or healthy. For example, I love beet salad with red onions and potatoes.
I have never seen “Keeping Mum” but JonladY2K is correct, Blackadder is a fantastically hilarious British comedy. If you haven’t seen it then I think you should give it a watch.
Stephen Fry as General Melchett in the last series always used to make me laugh. He was a bizarre character. I loved it when Rik Mayall appeared in it too. He thought he was God’s gift to women. He actually was though, women loved him.
I might be going out into town with my Mum tomorrow. So that should be nice.
It’s been confirmed today that hairdressers over here are opening on 4th July. I can finally get the dead ends off my hair and wear it in two French braids. My appointment is on the 14th.
Hope you’re having a good week, pal. Well, as good as it can get.

Something tells me the only (un)burnt vegetables Andy eats is chips to go with some fish… and that’s at a chippy.

My first attempt at cooking for myself resulted in me setting fire to spaghetti. Now that’s talent!

Husband: “What IS this stuff we’re eating??!!!”
Wife: “I got it out of the cookbook.”
Husband: “Good, it had no right to be in there in the first place!”

I like most salads, but I can’t stand egg salad. To me, it’s like eating wallpaper paste.

All. Too bad to do is make beer salad dressing and Andy would eat it all, just to drink the leftover dressing
