    I wonder if that worthless sot was dishonorably discharged from the army.

    BTW, may this Memorial Day be a peaceful one.

    any shots of the floor, maybe he was down there Chalkie! Though from the look on Andy’s face, the bartender might be correct!

    Today’s strip reminds me of some trivia about World War II.

    Here in the UK, there was a 1930s advertising campaign which would show a group of people and then show one of them missing. The missing person was captioned as having “gone for a Burton” referring to Burton’s Ale. During the War, people who were suddenly missing from photographs were also said to have “gone for a Burton” so the advertising catchphrase took on a darker meaning.

    The other possibility was he was in the brig.

    Let’s clarify Andy situation. He’s not cheap, he’s just always broke, so he needs to rely on the kindness of others.

    Ever considered that Andy could have been the one taking the photos?

    That could be an explanation.

    @Afficionado

    Hey, Affie.

    I didn’t do anything today. But I’m thinking about tagging along to the hairdressers tomorrow with my Mum as she has an appointment. I don’t need my hair done yet, I’m just going for the socialising. Nothing at all to do with the fact that the owner has the most sweetest dog who’s 15 years old and called Jasper. He used to be her Mum’s dog. After that, I might go somewhere myself.

    Stay safe, stay well, stay cool and stay happy, pal.

    Oo, spooky—did I hear that vampyres don’t show up in photos or mirrors? Perhaps that was when silver was involved in the processing.
